Videopoetry/Video Art
Official Selection - Versi di Luce 2025
Videopoetry/Video Art Section
In its section devoted to videopoetry and video art, Versi di Luce 2025 explores the purest and most experimental forms of the encounter between image and word, where poetic language becomes vision and vision becomes poetic breath. In these works, the word does not describe but evokes, sound intertwines with silence, and visual matter turns into a territory of freedom in which the imagination inhabits space and time through new modes of expression. The directors and artists in competition cross aesthetic and linguistic boundaries, building intimate and universal geographies in which poetry becomes visual gesture, body, trace, rhythm. Each work is a fragment of the world that reflects the urgency of saying the unsayable, of restoring to the image its original nature as revelation, as a threshold onto the invisible. In this constant dialogue between cinema and the visual arts, the Videopoetry and Video Art section confirms its place as the beating heart of the Festival, a laboratory of languages and ways of seeing, a place where art renews itself and poetry finds a dwelling of light.
